Ciel d’argent

September 13 - October 11, 1997

As part of the Month of Photography, Nathalie Grimard exhibited at Galerie Trois Points his most recent installation.

The self-portrait is to this artist what the microscope is to the biologist. Indeed, the body is, in the artist, represented in detail, to reflect its particularities. In fact, the representation is so detailed that its primary object of study, the body, tends to disappear. This extreme emphasis on particular aspects creates the impression of a common identity, where what belongs to one is relative to all. In addition, Nathalie Grimard continues to question the photographic medium. His work is primarily a reflection on the photographic process and our attitude towards the photographer.
