Déjà vu?

Michèle Assal, known for her work on intimacy, returns to Galerie Trois Points with her latest production. His recent works incorporate the photographic image into his pictorial approach. More than a new technique, photography participates in its quest for harmony. Painting and photography are treated as a pictorial tool.

The bright colors have given way to a softer palette but we still find the incorporation of the object in the work. A greater emphasis is given on the formal side, the forms are more isolated, the horizons are present, and moreover the object is chosen for its geometric relation first of all. But as always the poetry of everyday life is omnipresent in the work of Michèle Assal.
