Éponymies

In reflecting on the aesthetic choices and values it pursues to defend, Galerie Trois Points chose to feature some of its artists in Éponymies, an exhibition curated around the notion of suspension – as the name of the gallery suggests.

For the past two years, a new team leads Trois Points and continues to represent and fully support contemporary art. With a great ease and liberty, they successfully cultivate and negotiate the existing relations between the artists and their works.

The term « éponymie » was chosen in relation to the punctuation sign that names the gallery. It’s around the idea of suspension that we brought together a selection of artworks made of various media, such as paint and photography, by artists whose work truly reflects the aesthetic defended by Trois Points.

It is thus with great pleasure that we are juxtaposing the work of prominent artists whose reputation is well-established such as Sylvain BouthilletteMichel DaigneaultClint Griffin and Nathalie Grimard, with the work by younger emerging artists Scott EveringhamMathieu LévesqueAlex McLeod and Natalie Reis, while underlining the presence of Max Wyse who recently joined the gallery stable.
